Community Service

During all the football games in the 2015 – 2016 season, we are going to hold donations for various groups around Denver that need assistance. Anyone bringing a donation will receive an extra raffle ticket for the half-time raffle.

September Service Project

The Denver Hokies will be collecting dog and cat food (dry and canned also accepted) for the Colorado Pet Pantry. The Colorado Pet Pantry is set up to temporarily feed Colorado pets, allowing families to increase their ability to care for their pets with the goal of keeping them out of the shelters and with their families. Visit the website for more information, or contact Hokie Alum Missy Tasky ( who is a board member for the “Pantry”.

October Service Project

The Denver Hokies will be collecting Hygiene & Household Items for the Champa House, a women’s shelter supported by the Denver Rescue Mission. We will collect these items at each Denver Hokies Football Watching Parties during the month. Items needed include: Liquid Dish Soap, Clorox Wipes, Laundry Detergent, Tooth Paste/Brushes, Shampoo, Body Soap, etc…

November Service Project

The Denver Hokies will be collecting Canned & Other Non-Perishable Food items for The Crossing. The Crossing is a Denver area homeless shelter that supports 149 families getting back on their feet. Anyone bringing a donation to the Game watching Party will receive an extra ticket for our half time raffle.

December Services Project

Adopt a Family (in conjunction with the Denver Rescue Mission) – For the 2 years, the Denver Hokies have adopted (2) families for the Holidays.  Alumni have provided Christmas Holiday food boxes and gifts for families in need.  A sign up list will be available in late Nov/early December.  Presents will be wrapped and food collected at the annual Holiday Pot Luck Party.

General Community Service
